When are we open?
The good news is that office is often open with team available to speak to you on our social media messaging when you need us. But if you’re looking for a specific session to come to, we’ll be pleased to welcome you:
- Tuesday: 6:30pm – 8:00pm
- Friday: 7:00pm – 9:30pm
All our sessions are free, and a range of sweets and soft drinks are available to buy from our little shop.
Before you come
Following a consultation with the National Youth Association (NYA) we are now able to open The Bridge with standard Covid-19 procedures in place.
Before your child attends The Bridge:
- Be sure that your child does not have symptoms.
The main symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are:
- a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
- a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
- a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
Please do not attend sessions if your child or anyone in your home has symptoms of Covid-19.
During Sessions
- Your child will be booked in by an adult who will confirm we have contact details for parent/carers.
- If your child develops symptoms during the session we will use the contact information on record. The young person will require collection.*
- Hand sanitiser is available in all rooms and young people will be encouraged to sanitise regularly.
*Secondary school students who attend without parent/carers picking up or dropping off may be asked to leave if they display Covid-19 symptoms. However, care will be taken to ensure their safety.
Symptoms After Session
If your child develops Covid-19 symptoms in the 48 hours following attendance, we do need to know about it. You can use the form below to let us know.
The main symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are:

- a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
- a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
Most people with symptoms have at least 1 of these.

What to do next
If you have any of the main symptoms of coronavirus:
- Get a PCR test (test that is sent to a lab) to check if you have coronavirus as soon as possible.
- You and anyone you live with should stay at home and not have visitors until you get your test result – only leave your home to have a test.
Anyone in your childcare or support bubble should also stay at home if you have been in close contact with them since your symptoms started or during the 48 hours before they started.
