Welcome to the BRIDGE YOUTH CENTRE APPLICATION PACK, we’re thrilled you’d like to join the team.
Before we go any further, please take a moment to look over the process of appointment.
We take the safeguarding and protection of our young people very seriously, and as such, require all volunteers and staff to go through a standard safe recruitment process. This takes the form of filling in a basic application form with references. We will then check the references, verify your identity, meet you for an informal interview and take you through the DBS process.
When you’re ready to go, we’ll ask you to sign a volunteer agreement and will give you your session handbook and relevant training.
The aim of The Bridge is to help young people become Secure, Successful, Proactive & Independent. We seek to achieve this by providing a high quality, safe centre to work from, a professional team of youth working staff, volunteers and a supportive programme of activities.
The Bridge is part of the ongoing legacy of the Bridgnorth Dry Bar Trust, which was established in 1994.
The Bridge presently runs two sessions per week. Tuesday is typically more structured and activity based, whereas Friday is generally loser in form and attracts older teens. It would be helpful to know which session you’d like to give your time to.
- Tuesday: 6:30pm – 8:00pm: Year 5 – 8
- NEW: Afterschool drop-in
- Friday: 7pm – 9:30pm: Year 7 – 12
